I rented this film based solely off of the idea. Cause, I'm sorry, but a story about a group of guys who wake up locked in a warehouse with no memory and with some of them tied up and and beat up and others shot sounds way to intriguing not to watch. In fact, you should really stop reading here and go rent this just based on that alone, because Matthew Waynee deserves respect enough to earn a renting based on plot alone. You gone yet? You rented it? No? You're still here? Damn it, ok, I'll finish the Bview.

I'll give this movie another thing, right from the start Simon Brand does an AMAZING job of creating a set that you really wouldn't want to wake up in. It just feels unwelcome, creepy and hollow. Filled with questions that have no answers. I'm a sucker for a good set if you haven't noticed. Really, the set helps create the mood of a film so much that I have mad props for anyone who really puts love into reflecting the theme of the movie throughout the set.

From the start of the film we realize that there's obviously good guys and bad guys in this crew and James Caviezel does a really amazing job through this as playing a character who rides this line finely. We want to trust him and believe that he's good even though all signs post to the fact that our hopes may be crushed. Greg Kinnear also does an amazing job playing a spineless weasel willing to lie his way into getting what he wants. You never really trust what he says even when he is telling the truth.

In fact these two characters make up most of the tension in the film playing off each other and the others. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that some of the attempts at a plot outside of this story line become too much, but within the walls of the warehouse the story feels really, interesting and believable. It's just done so well like the way Caviezel's fear that he might not be on the right side becomes especially heightened by Kinnear's immediate distrust of him.

The flash backs in this movie are handled well, too. Showing you just enough to make you wonder without really telling you any real information. Though plenty for you to jump to your own conclusions (which may or may not be correct). One thing that I DID NOT like about this film were all the twists at the end. A few twists are usually welcome in a film, but I really felt this movie had enough going on in it and didn't need any real twists. I understand how the plot line really opened the story up to twists, but I felt the tension could have been handled better by having fewer revelations and having them spaced farther apart.
In the end, this movie really just felt like it had too much going on at times, but over all it was entertaining, interesting and had some very pleasant drama going on it it. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone if or no other reason then to be able to chat about what they thought about this film. Definitely a good one to watch with people you enjoy discussing films with, cause when it's over you'll actually have something to talk about. And the good in this film makes it worth watching for sure.
