Send Rizzy to Australia Fund
At the request of Lee, who claims this site is going to be HUGE and that I should cash in on that by using it to try and con funds out of people to help cover the expenses for my Australia trip, I have decided to Honor him and put up a damned Australia Charity Fund. Here's a fun little FAQ to show you why and how you should donate.
Why are you going to Australia?
Well, because it's pimptastic for one, but mostly to visit a few good friends who reside there, including a fellow Bviewer Lee. Lee is my best friend, we met through the webcomic community while we each were creating our own web comics and became close friends soon there after. And I haven't been able to shake the boy since, JUST KIDDING!!! :D Lee's been to Fargo, ND twice now and I still haven't gone to see him!! That's right, I'm so cool I got an Australian to come to Fargo his first time out of OZ.
So this year, I made the promise that I was going to Australia and I am. I've already started saving money and cutting my expenses down really far so that I can afford the ticket to go see him. It's going to be tight, but I'm going to do it.
So, if I do give money, what's it going to go towards?
Well, there are two major things I'm saving for: 1.) the plane ticket to get down there, which will be close to $1,000 2.) A brand spanking new camera 3.) *new* my trip to California. Those are the prereqs for this trip, cause I don't want to go to Australia unless I have a camera that can take some amazing photos while I'm there. I'm looking at several cameras right now, but leaning towards the Sony Cyber-shot H9. It makes me very happy and it's quick focus and close up capabilities make it the ideal camera for what I enjoy shooting. Even after getting that money saved, I'd still like to have some spending cash when I make it to OZ so I can have some fun there. If I get enough saved over the camera/plane ticket costs, I promise to spend $100 to swim with sharks. I need to go to california first though, cause I am planning on moving there next May, so I need to make sure that I have cash for that as well.
The Final Break Down (all estimated amounts):
+ $900 - plane tickets
+ $400 - my camera
+ $700 - for car rental/hotels/themepark costs for California trip
+ $1,500 - shopping/spending cash for the two trips
+ $100 (bonus) - I will swim with sharks just for you all
= $3,600 I want saved for this trip
What the Hell do I get for contributing?
Photo journals. Lots and lots and lots of photo journals. Granted, they probably won't be till I get back, but hopefully I'll find a way to get them up while I'm in OZ. Even if not, I plan on lots of stories and even more photos. Some of you are familiar with my photo journals. Some of you are even fans of them. Well, you'll get more photo journaling than you can shake a stick at. I promise!
That not enough? You'll also make a very happy Rizzy and a very happy Lee. That not enough? That's ok, you really don't have to donate. Really, I hate putting this up, but I made a promise I woud and so I did. So Give, don't give, I don't mind. I'll make my own way there without your help! I've got my mind set on going and I'm going to do it gosh darn it!
